La Salle Manor is the focal point of the Chicago All-S Retreat. It creates an inviting atmosphere for the vulnerable moments shared among us.

Below you can find photos of the interior and exterior of La Salle Manor, including the public areas and dorm setup.

La Salle Manor is a retreat and conference center in Plano, Illinois.

About an hour outside of Chicago, La Salle Manor started as a large, log cabin lodge in 1944 for a single family.

Bought in the late 1950s by the De La Salle Christian Brothers, it was gradually developed into a retreat center for larger groups over the following decades.

Outdoor

La Salle Manor features 350 acres of outdoor space, including a lake with kayaks and canoes, gardens, outdoor patios, fire pits, forested walking path, beehives, swimming pool, and more.

Public Indoor

La Salle Manor now features the original log cabin lodge connected to a series of social areas and dorms. The air-conditioned log cabin hosts the majority of social and activity time, featuring five private breakout rooms, a large basement recreational area, and a kitchen/dining room area. A breezeway with a connected chapel leads to the separate dorm area.

Private Indoor

The dorms are on two separate floors, one for men and one for women, though a few additional, separate rooms are available for nonbinary individuals. Each floor contains 25+ beds, most of which are in private rooms with a bed, desk, closet, and sink. Bathrooms and showers are dorm-style, shared by the whole floor.

“La Salle Manor is a conference and retreat center dedicated to human development within religious, civic, and educational communities through continuing education and spiritual development. La Salle Manor Retreat Center is a place for people of all ages and faiths.”
